WOW It's so hard to re-start....


Yes, It is hard to re-start!!!! After what? 5 months? yes, I didn't do any exercise during this time, I was just walking to the park (2 and 1/2 miles)during the weekends; now it's so hard for me to re-start again everyday walking at least 5 miles. Today I did again 3 miles, I need to continuous doing this everyday because if I am not making my walking as a routine in my day, I can not done well on my 3days walking. It's hard to start...but you can do it, JUST stop sitting on the couch watching TV. Right now stand up and do the exercises in front of the T.V. if you don't want to go out (because the weather), or go out in the early morning 5:30 or 6:00 and walk or run, wherever you prefer. I prefer walk in the mornings because at the evening the ground is too hot for Zeero my dog and for me, I can feel it on my face.
Now as you know, it's important to follow some diet, I am not a big fan of the diets, I am not a consistent person with diets....well it's true, but I am trying...the good part is when I am going to buy groceries I can buy the things that I need and they are healthy, for example if I don't have bread at home, I don't eat it, so I don't buy it. Thinks like that help me a lot.

Then, start your day with a good breakfast, I started with proteins like eggs, or ham/cheese, or sausage... and of course my cup of coffee with just a little of Splenda. Then around 10:00 snaks: I always take a little bag with almonds, peanuts (salty and sweet) or just pieces of fruit, or the light yogurt. Lunch is a big salad with a little of light dressing or just lemon and salt, accompanied with a big piece of meat, or chicken, or tuna, or turkey or fish.... again snacks in the afternoon and the dinner: I do the salad, meat and a little of potato or rice or some pasta.
The most important the water, I always drink water during the day and for my meals I drink water or tea/lemonade.

This is the way that I must follow to be ready for my 3days walking in November, and for me to be healthy. I need to be consistent and I will.

Morning Training!!!!

My training!!!!!
I am doing the training by my self. It's not easy but I am going. This morning I planned to go to the mountains ( Salt River) I left Esteban at work and I stopped on the side of the way. I was with Zeero. I started to walk but it was a little high so
at the beginning it's was difficult I always walk on a flat area. Then we started to hike a little bit (I'm not trained to climb) but I did, it was so hard. The bad part was that I was so tired, sweated, and thirsty (of course I have my water) then I returned to the car. I checked my pedometer and I noticed that I did just 1 and half of mile in 45 minutes. That was so bad. Anyway I did something different. Zeero was exhausted!!!
I guess I need to be prepared always before go to a new place. Like plan my walking on Runkeeper.com or on mymap.com They are good websites to do that.
I have been notice that at this time I am more tentative to walk at the evenings (after 7:00 p.m.) than last year I did it during the mornings. Maybe it's because the weather and in the morning I am so lazy to stand up at 5:30 a.m. AGE???? I guess
I feel that I need more motivation to walk....I don't know why because I love to walk but this time my body is like saying "NOOOOO" and I am forcing it.
Checking for ideas on websites, I have all the stuff like my dog, my coffee, the nature, my water, and they say about music, the problem is that I can not walk with music, my ears have to be alert all the time and I love to listen the sounds of the nature... when I'm walking I'm enjoying it a lot, it's not that I don't want it it's the start that make me so difficult to do it.
Walking can be a lifetime habit that's easy and enjoyable--if you have an arsenal of excuse busters on hand. For me it's just a habit but something inside my body is not connecting with my habit, my brain....or something else.
I will be working on that part to change and be the same like I was before.

I'm back....This is going to be my second walking!!!


Hello everyone,
I'm back....I started already my training. For right now I am walking by my self, but I will register my self with 1 or 2 different groups to walk during the week. Right now I am walking 3 miles everyday. And yes I am so out of condition....I need to do more, the 3 miles I am doing almost in 1 hour.
I am going to start my activities to collect money....My goal: $2,300 I know I will meet it because I have my family and friends.
I am here with my tent-partner Connie. It was so great to have her side by side.
I will be here more constantly!!!!!
